Procrastination

Procrastination is a dream killer. Procrastination is the opposite of decision. Procrastination stops us from reaching our goal. so why do we do it. Well, there are a multitude of reasons why we procrastinate.

1) Fear of failure. We don't want to make a mistake.
2) Uncertainty. The outcome is not clear and therefore causes doubt.
3) Laziness. Our mind is stagnant and we take no action.
4) Indecision. We may not know every step to take so we take no steps at all.
5) Lack of clarity. We just don't consider it as an option of action.
6) No time. Just don't see it in your schedule.
...and many more.

Fear of failure is a likely reason for procrastination. We must look at failures as a "learn". Now we know one thing that doesn't work. You only fail when you quit.

If lack of clarity is your reason for procratination, you need a goal. A goal will give you more motivation to take action.

Consider the reasons why you are procrastinating. If time seems to be the issue, break it down into smaller steps. I have found that the time it takes to do some things seem to magnify themselves in our mind.

Procrastination is like any other conditioning...we can overcome it. Make use of your will. Decide to make a committed decision. Focus on the reason why it is that this action will serve you.

The successful person takes action, procrastination is not a part of the vocabulary. Step up to the plate and take action. Kick procrastination out of your life. Do it..do it now.

Here's to action!
